Olympia’s Paths

1. Kladeos Path:

This footpath  follows the Kladeos river and is easy to walk. It is fully signposted by the Naturalist association of Olympia. The walking time is about one hour and there are signs to guide the walker. The route has two starting points: The first starts from a road close to the Intermediate School of Olympia and the second starts from the entry of the Archaeological museum. The end is at the Alfeios river. Hikers will walk in a beautiful and calmness environment and can relax at the picnic tables close the Roman wall.

2. Galani Path:

This path ascends to Galani hill and has a medium level of difficulty. The walking time is about two hours and there are signs to guide the walker. It is recommended for the autumm or winter season and can be done with bicycle as well. The path starts from a road close the Intermediate School of Olympia and leads to the Archaeological Museum of Olympia. The walker will traverse the Galanis hill and at the heigh point will enjoy the beautiful views of Olympia valley. Hikers will reach the borders of Ancient Pissa village through forestation which has been maintained by the Nature Association of Ancient Olympia.
